Perhaps at dawn, long before the first golf cart has gone out. When the first fingers of light push through our forests to chase away lingering night shadows. Off in the distance a tall white tail deer looks up cautiously, and then continues her morning walk. High overhead, a flock of honking Canada geese wings their way homeward from warm winter climates.

There's a championship feel in the air here. Long before this 150-acre parcel became a golf course, it was the site of the McClelland Family-owned Circle K Farm, which raised and trained championship Standardbreds, the regal, upright equines more commonly known as trotters. These are the rolling hills where OK Dick, the most famous Circle K-bred champion, grazed and trained. His burial place is marked at a memorial near the first tee... 

Etched into the hilly countryside near Zanesville, Ohio, we're off the beaten path. In fact, as you drive up the Maysville Pike, you won't see a fairway or flagstick from the road. Arrive at our clubhouse, load up your clubs and you still won't see our beautiful par 70, 18-hole gem until you pull up over the ridge that leads to the first tee.

Constant elevation change is dominating feature of our Dr. Michael Hurdzan-designed course. Many of our tee boxes are 40-50 feet above the greens, providing you with panoramic views of the Ohio countryside. From tee to green, you'll experience a golf course kept in pristine condition, with rolling fairways and meticulously manicured greens.

We have a large practice tee area that can accommodate as many as 30.

Our spacious, two-story clubhouse provides you with a wide array of dining options, whether you're just grabbing a sandwich on the turn or setting up a large outing or tournament. So popular is EagleSticks for dining in the Zanesville area that Mac's Sports Bar and its adjoining restaurant are favorites in the local area among golfers and non-golfers alike.

EagleSticks is unmatched in the local area as a venue for outings and weddings. It seems that just about every weekend during the summer we're hosting an event of some kind. EagleSticks On The Green is our formal garden banquet area, complete with a tented outdoor structure that is perfect for large weddings.

If you're coming from out of town, there's plenty to do in historic Zanesville, a community of about 40,000 that is famous for its summer pottery festival and is a favorite with antique collectors. Zanesville is the home of the world's only Y-shaped bridge, located at the convergence of the Muskingum and Licking rivers.
