The back nine begins with a dramatic downhill par 3, over water and all carry. Hurdzan offers a big green as a peace offering.
This hole is beautiful, no nonsense, and a good way to start the inward stretch. One solid swing is required.
- This hole plays roughly 10-15 yards shorter than the number.
- Do not hit your full yardage or you can finish over the back in trouble.
- The water is absolutely in play. It is a full forced carry.
- Check the treetops because the wind can swirl above the tee box.
Putting Tips
This is one of the more enjoyable greens at EagleSticks, with enough movement to make putting fun without feeling unfair. Still, a few hole locations can punish careless speed.
- Front-right pin: Keep your speed under control because putts can gather pace quickly and leave a longer comeback than expected.
- Back-left pin: On firm, fast days, uphill putts need commitment or they may roll back toward you.
- Best mindset: Attack when the hole location allows it, but respect the slope when the pin is front right or back left.
