Built for Shot Makers
The 13th is a beast. Long, demanding, and built for shot makers. The solid drive up the middle is a must, and even then, you’ll need a solid struck shot into this green.
This is another hole where getting the right club on the approach is difficult. Downhill to a big green, this hole also gets its fair share of three putts. It’s one of those holes that separates you from the field.
If you walk off with a par, smile. You’ve done something special.

Downhill
How big is the green?
It is massive—50 yards deep. The difference between a front pin and a back pin can be 3 to 4 clubs, so check your yardage carefully.
Is this a Driver hole?
Absolutely. At 479 yards, you need max distance off the tee to leave yourself a manageable iron into the downhill green.
What is the main danger?
Three-putting. On a green this large and downhill, speed control is everything. If you are on the wrong side of the hole, par is very hard work.
Where should I miss?
Short is better than long or left. The downhill approach means the ball will release, so landing it short and letting it run on is a smart play.
