A Chance to Exhale
After the muscle of number 13, 14 gives you a chance to exhale. A gentle dog leg right, it’s tempting to cut the corner for a nice pitch and putt birdie.
It’s a beautiful rhythmic hole, a quiet stretch before the homeward push. But don’t sleep on it—precision is still required to score well.
The approach is straightforward, but the putting surface is slick. With subtle breaks, it can catch you off guard.

Gentle Slope
Can I cut the corner?
It is enticing, but the landing area narrows significantly. Unless you have a power fade you can trust, aiming down the center is the smarter play.
Is this a birdie opportunity?
Yes. If you find the fairway, you will have a short iron or wedge in hand. This is one of the better scoring opportunities on the back nine.
What is the green like?
Slick. It looks deceptively flat, but there are subtle breaks that drift toward the valley. Respect the speed on downhill putts.
Driver or 3-Wood?
Driver gets you closer, but a 3-Wood ensures you stay short of the trouble through the fairway. Position is more important than distance here.
