Quick Caddie Tip
This photographed par 3 looks friendly, but the sloped green and greenside bunkers make distance control important. Favor the middle and take your par.

Field Notes
Hole 17 is one of the most photographed holes on the course. It is short on the card, but the green slope and subtle elevation change make it more demanding than it first appears.
The middle of the green is the correct play. Left or right brings bunkers and awkward recovery shots into play.
- Do not lose focus just because this is the 18th handicap hole.
- The green is 40 yards deep, so front and back pins can change the club.
- Anything left or right can bring the greenside bunkers into play.
- Center green gives you a birdie look and protects an easy par.
Putting Tips
Compared to the other par-3 greens, #17 is one of the more welcoming putting surfaces at EagleSticks. Most of the time, solid speed control gives you a real chance to avoid drama.
- Front pin: If you are above the hole, be careful because the downhill putt can pick up more speed than expected.
- General read: The slopes are manageable, so trust your line and focus on pace.
- Best mindset: Take advantage of this green, but do not let a front hole location turn a simple par into extra work.
