Field Notes
Hole #16 offers a blind tee shot, and it is deceiving. This hole features a small layout but carries a massive personality, typical of pure EagleSticks design.
Laying up is not the best play here, so give it a rip. A confident swing is rewarded, while indecision can lead to a tricky approach.
- Aim slightly right of center. The fairway has a significant kick to the left that you cannot see from the tee.
- Give it a rip. Laying up often leaves an awkward distance and angle.
- The green is only 27 yards deep, one of the smallest targets on the back nine.
- A ball that looks down the middle almost always finishes left, and a ball that looks right many times is perfect.
Putting Tips
This small green demands precise distance control, especially with a tighter target than most greens on the course.
- Green Depth is just 27 yards, so take extra care with your yardage on the approach.
- A tight green means even a slightly long or short approach can leave a tough two-putt.
- Trust your read. This green does not have a lot of hidden surprises once you are on it.
- Two putts here is a good result given how small the target is.
